Room 7 had lots of Roots of Empathy this week, including a baby visit! Lena is getting so big and she has so much hair now! Room 8 also had some Roots of Empathy and we will both have our last baby visit next week. We are so excited! At our last baby visit we can have an ice pop, a note has gone home in the agendas about it, parents have to sign this note so we can give out an ice pop.
We had a fire drill this week. We also practiced lining up in alphabetical order and we were able to line up in 28 seconds! It was really impressive!
On Tuesday we took a school wide photo. I bet we all look pretty great.
This week was our last week of hand eye coordination in gym. Next we will be learning about frisbee golf and regular golf.
In social studies we continued to learn about pictographs, petroglyphs and cave art. The cave art turned out to be a little bit messy and luckily we had some friends that were willing to help mop up the hallway, thanks friends!
We also continued to practice using our talking stick in a story circle.
For writing we got to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather, it was hot, hot, hot!
There were two birthdays this week, Happy Birthday N & C!
If you have not done so already, please bring back your Grow Calgary field trip forms they are now overdue!!
We can hardly believe it but we are in the last month of school! Time sure flies when you are having a ton a fun!
Until next time,
Love,
Room 7 & 8
